What will happen to Tom Clancy games now?

The internet and indeed the world were extremely saddened to learn of the death of legendary writer Tom Clancy today.  Since the early 90′s Clancy had been producing video games through his self established Red Storm entertainment, producing critically acclaimed titles such as Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell.  Many of these games ares still in production now following Ubisfots acquisition of the company, and most importantly these games still bear the Tom Clancy name on them.

But people are already asking what will happen now that he has passed?  Well, Ubisoft despite being extremely saddened by Clancy’s death, have already said that they will continue to make games bearing his name and legacy for “many years to come”.  This is great news for fans of games such as Rainbow Six.  The latest Tom Clancy game has yet to be even released, as it’s still in development for next generation consoles.  Tom Clancy’s The Division is expected to hit the Xbox One and PS4 sometime during 2014.

Although he may now be gone in physical form, the legend that is Tom Clancy will survive through the medium of video games well into the next generation.  We feel that this is a fitting tribute for such and amazing writer.
