PS Plus Bug Lets User Get A 21 Year Membership For Free

Lets face it, if you could, you’d probably do the same too. One PS4 gamer has now managed to exploit the PlayStation Network in a very simple way, and as a result has managed to set up a subscription to PlayStation Plus up for himself completely free of charge. But want to know the best bit? The subscription was for was 21 years as well.

After a little bit of mathematics we’ve figured out that the cost of this 21 year subscription would of cost the user in question $1049.79. So how did he manage to set this up so easily, and without paying a penny as well? We’ll he’s now made his discovery public, so that other gamers can test the waters as well. Lets see how he did it below.

First of all in order for this to be able to work, you need to be signing up to PSN for the very first time. If you are doing this the first time when you go onto the PlayStation store you should see an Outlast branded PlayStation Plus advert, the specific advert is for a 14 day free trail of the PSN Service. After entering in his credit card information for renewal purposes he tried to proceed, but was then greeted with a pop up screen that said did he want to extend his membership again by 14 days? every time he proceeded the service allowed him to do this, and he extended his membership for 14 days at a time completely free of charge. The system allowed him to keep doing this up until the year 2033 at which point he decided that that the length of this membership was probably enough for now.

The whistle blower who discovered this stated, “I never had PlayStation Plus so I decided to give it a try on my shiny new PS4. A new ad in the PS Store advertises 14 days free of PlayStation Plus if you have never had the service before.” But the story doesn’t end there. The person who discovered the bug then went back to his PS4 two days later in order to see if the bug was still active. Much to his surprise he then managed to extend his already free 19 year membership for another three years completely free of charge. He now has a 21 year membership to PlayStation Plus completely free of charge, not bad for us, but horrific for Sony.

If you’re already a PlayStation Plus member and you’re coming up for renewal, why not get a discount and get a renewal card from Amazon right here?
