GTA V will feature a checkpoint system
How many times have you played the Three Leaf Clover mission in GTA IV? Once? Twice? More? I’m willing to bet that you have have died at least once at some stage during this mission. If you did meet your demise, you will of remembered the torture that requires you to make your own way to the start of the mission and then play it all the way from the start again.
Well fortunately for you this shouldn’t be happening again in Grand Theft Auto V.
It has been reveled by people that have played advanced copies of the game that there is a checkpoint / autosave function in place whilst you are on missions. This follows criticisms from fans after the release of GTA IV who have complained about this.
Obviously with the vastness of the map and the largeness and complexity of the missions, Rockstar have felt the need to include a checkpoint system into the core functionality of the game.
Checkpoints were eventually adopted into the DLC episodes from GTA IV, The Ballad Of Gay Tony and The Lost And Damned. However with Rockstar incorporating checkpoints into Grand Theft Auto V, this will mark the first time that a checkpoint system has been included into a full Grand Theft Auto Game.
Grand Theft Auto V will be available for purchase on September 17th.
