GTA V Concepts That Were Scrapped May Make A Comeback
With making a game like Grand Theft Auto V, all of the production crew will ultimately contribute an idea to the game. But with so many ideas being put forward, only the best will likely end up in the final game, this is usually down to either quality assurance issues, or time factors in the games development. But these ideas are never lost and will always remain present in some shape or form, Aaron Garbut who is the Art Director At Rockstar, has stated that it is not an impossibility for these ideas that were originally excluded from the final game, to make a return at a later point in the games life.
These ideas would make a return in the world of GTA Online rather than the story portion of GTA V. As already shown, GTA Online allows many new additions and features to be added on a regular basis, most recently for Christmas the entire map was blanketed in snow, which just goes to show literally anything is possible in future updates of the game.
The is what Garbut had to say for himself and about the addition of future content to the world of GTA Online. “As a group of people, we’re never short of ideas. There are always things that come up during development that you want to add. Often we do, but the closer you get to release, the less that happens. I don’t feel like the game fell short, but there is undoubtedly a huge volume of plans and ideas that we wanted to do to push it further. What I love about our GTA Online plans is that the game is no longer static. We can continue to add these things and evolve. That’s even more exciting these days, where through forums, Reddit, etc, we have a real direct connection to the people playing the game. We can respond to what they are into and what they hate more than ever. It’s something that really suits the way we work, the way we’re always trying to adapt the experience and avoid walking blindly down a set path.”
On top of this revelation it was also announced that there will be some more content coming to the world of GTA Online soon, however it was not said specifically on what this would be. Perhaps it will feature some of these so called “scrapped” ideas?
You can currently pick up Grand Theft Auto V for just $39.99 on Amazon, that’s over $10 off!
What do you think about such inclusions to GTA V?
