Batman: Arkham Origins season pass comes with 5 DLC packs

In another case of DLC being effectively announced before a game officially releases, Warner Brothers Games have announced that their upcoming game, Batman: Arkham Origins will come with an additional 5 pieces of DLC when and if you purchase the games season pass.

The following items that you will get with the season pass if you decide to purchase it are…

  • Gotham by Gaslight Batman Skin and Brightest Day Batman™ Skin
  • New Millennium Skins Pack
  • Infinite Earths Skins Pack
  • Arkham Origins Initiation: Play as Bruce Wayne before he became Batman and face his final test to prove himself worthy to his greatest teacher, Kirigi.
  • An all-new story campaign

There are some quite intriguing items here, the biggest one of which being the “all new story campaign”.  Now it isn’t stated if it’s a different version of the events that occur in the original story of Batman: Arkham Origins, or if it follows a completely different character all together, but we suspect that it may be something like the Cat Woman side story that featured in Batman: Arkham City.  More information will be available about this in the upcoming weeks before the games hits store shelves.

It also seems that there is a prequel in one of the DLC packs as well.  It says “play as Bruce Wayne before he became Batman”, this implies that we are either getting ready to become Batman or are training to be Batman in some way.  Again, no further information is available at this time about the piece of additional content.

Batman: Arkham Origins will be available on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on October 31st.
